We offer support for those parents who choose to home educate as an integral part of our hybrid primary school.

Learning is provided through the use of a digital learning platform, Century Tech as used in many leading schools, with personalised one-to-one support from our team of qualified primary teachers who monitor learning and provide a weekly check-in.  

 

The cutting edge technology provides personalised, self-paced learning of the core subjects of the national curriculum, Maths, English and Science, where each learner is taken through series of mini lessons which have to be fully secured before moving onto the next level.  These are fun and fully interactive using different media to encourage self-motivation, academic progress and to foster a love of learning.

Learning is entirely flexible as parents and learners are free to choose which subjects are needed to support learning and also when and for how long this is required to fit in within their existing home schedule. There is no restriction on the amount of time or when the platform is used. 

 

Achievement and progress is continuously assessed and recorded by the platform and is accessible by both parents and the school through a secured dashboard. This also provides evidence of learning to support any request from the Elective Home Education department that might arise to confirm a 'suitable education' is being provided under both existing and proposed legislation. 

 

Our qualified primary teachers provide help and support for each learner

on a one-to-one basis as and when needed and who can provide additional individualised work and assignments accessible via the platform to further support learning.

There is the option to attend our physical space in Cambridge to use the platform and obtain in-person teacher support through both traditional classroom and Montessori pedagogy. This also provides the opportunity for learners to socialise and for parents to share experiences and resources.
