Q What ages do you accept? 

7 to 11 years.

 

Q Do you accept learners with special educational needs or disabilities?

Yes, but as we are learner-centred where there is high degree of both independence and self-motivation required, this will depend on their level of needs. Unfortunately, it is not possible to provide or accommodate one-on-one personal tutors or assistants. 

 

Q Do you accept students where English is not their native language? 

Yes, although to fully access the curriculum, learners need a minimum B1 level. 

 

Q Do you follow the same curriculum as mainstream private and state primary schools?

We follow exactly the same subjects, English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Design Technology, Art and Design and Music of the National Curriculum. We also provide Spanish as a modern foreign language. 

 

Q Do you follow a daily timetable?

The hub only.

Q Do you have a uniform?

We do not have a formal uniform although we expect learners to wear our logo sweatshirts and t-shirts. We do however have a sports kit as PE / Sport is arranged off-site for the hub.

 

Q Is there an extra-curricular programme?

This typically includes, robotics, esports, cookery, fun science, football, languages etc.

 

Q Do you provide food and drink?

In the hub we provide light breakfast, snacks, hot/cold drinks and mineral water but not lunch which is a brought in from home. This can be hot or cold. We promote a healthy eating policy. 

 

Q How do you deliver P.E / Sport?

We take all learners attending the hub to a local venue who partake a yearly programme, including swimming. 

 

Q Do learners have homework?

We do not believe that children of this age should have homework but instead enjoy following their own interests and spend time with family and friends. 

 

Q Is the learners progress assessed, tracked and recorded?

We assess the learners' academic knowledge using the learning platform, through observations, weekly one-to-one conferencing, weekly spelling checks, challenges, quizzes etc. We issue termly progress reports and hold parent meetings.

 

Q Are you regulated by the authorities?

We are presently registering with the Department of Education as an Independent School and will be subject to regulatory Ofsted/ISI inspections.

 

Q Do you have written policies? 

We have policies that cover: safeguarding and child protection, anti-bullying, fire precautions, health and safety, first aid, curriculum, admissions, online safety, behaviour management, data protection, equal opportunities, etc. These are regularly reviewed and available in pdf format on request. 

 

Q How do you keep parents informed?

We use the ISAMS school management system widely adopted by many leading private and international schools around the world which provides regular updates via the use of an App as well as regular newsletters etc.

 

Q Community?

As a Montessori inspired school, we encourage active involvement of our parents for the benefit of our learners. We welcome parents to come in and join the students in the after school activities, to attend presentations, to arrange and attend events and to foster a friendly and unified community.
